Vind jij studenteninspraak belangrijk? Houd jij ervan om studenten over het hele land te ondersteunen en te trainen om hun stem te laten horen? Wil jij je inzetten voor een sterke en democratischere medezeggenschap? Solliciteer dan nu voor bestuurder bij het Landelijk Overleg Fracties!

We zijn op zoek naar twee enthousiaste bestuursleden die vanaf 1 september 2026 tot en met 31 augustus 2027 aan de slag willen voor het Landelijk Overleg Fracties (LOF). Het betreft een betaalde functie van ongeveer 20 uur per week. Samen zet je je in voor de medezeggenschap en houd je contact met medezeggenschappers van alle universiteiten in Nederland. Daarnaast vertegenwoordig je de medezeggenschap op landelijk niveau in gesprekken met het ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap (OCW).

Wat is het LOF?

Het LOF werkt nauw samen met de Landelijke Studentenvakbond om kennisuitwisseling over het Nederlandse universitaire onderwijsbeleid te bevorderen en te faciliteren. Onze missie? We zetten ons in voor democratisering van het onderwijs en toegankelijkheid en versterking van de medezeggenschap. Het LOF brengt actieve studenten van alle universiteiten in Nederland samen; of je nu deel uitmaakt van een faculteits- of universiteitsraad, betrokken bent bij een politieke studentenpartij of activist bent. We bieden training en ondersteuning op verschillende gebieden. 

Wat zoeken wij?

Als bestuurder van het LOF heb je ervaring in de (universitaire) medezeggenschap. Je hebt affiniteit met politiek en je bent goed in presenteren, schrijven en lobbyen. Dit kun je goed doen in samenwerking met medezeggenschappers en actieve studenten, zowel in het Nederlands als het Engels. Je durft initiatief te nemen en je hebt een sterk organisatorisch vermogen. Ervaring met het opzetten van evenementen is een pré. Ook als je niet over alle bovenstaande vaardigheden beschikt, moedigen we je aan om te solliciteren. Je werkt namelijk samen met een mede-bestuurder, jouw partner-in-crime die jou aanvult! 

Wat houdt de functie in?

De specifieke invulling van de taken schrijf je zelf in een beleidsplan in samenspraak met de Raad van Toezicht. Deel van deze taken is onder andere:

• Je onderhoudt een netwerk van raden en opleidingscommissies door het hele land;
• Je beantwoordt vragen van medezeggenschappers, studentenpartijen of actieve studenten, of verwijst door naar andere organisaties;
• Je organiseert evenementen, faciliteert kennisuitwisseling en trainingen naar eigen inzicht of naar behoefte onder de medezeggenschappers;
• Je volgt landelijke ontwikkelingen over medezeggenschap en onderwijsbeleid. Samen met de LSVb, ISO, HBO-MZ en UNL hou je daarover contact met OCW;
• Je onderhoudt nauw contact met relevante (studenten)organisaties;
• Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het reilen en zeilen van de stichting: je schrijft beleid, onderhoudt de financiën en de administratie van de stichting en houdt contact met de Raad van Toezicht.

Vacancy: LOF Board 2026–2027

Do you want to work towards stronger and more democratic student representation within universities? Then apply now to become a board member of the Landelijk Overleg Fracties (LOF)!

We are looking for two enthusiastic board members who would like to work for the Landelijk Overleg Fracties (LOF) from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. This is a paid position of approximately 20 hours per week. Together, you will focus on student representation and maintain contact with student representatives from all universities in the Netherlands. In addition, you will represent student representation at national level in discussions with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW).

What is the LOF?

The LOF works closely with the National Student Union (LSVb) to promote and facilitate the exchange of knowledge regarding Dutch university education policy. Our mission? We are committed to the democratisation of education, accessibility and the strengthening of student participation. The LOF brings together active students from all universities in the Netherlands; whether you are part of a faculty or university council, involved in a political student party or an activist. We offer training and support in various areas. 

What are we looking for?

As a board member of the LOF, you have experience in (university) student representation. You have an affinity for politics and are skilled at presenting, writing and lobbying. You can do this effectively in collaboration with student representatives and active students, in both Dutch and English. You are not afraid to take the initiative and have strong organisational skills. Experience in organising events is an advantage. Even if you do not possess all of the above skills, we encourage you to apply. You will be working alongside a fellow board member, your partner-in-crime who will complement you! 

What does the role involve?

You will define the specific tasks yourself in a policy plan in consultation with the Supervisory Board. These tasks include, amongst other things:

• You maintain a network of councils and programme committees throughout the country;
• You answer questions from student representatives, student organisations or active students, or refer them to other organisations;
• You organise events, facilitate knowledge exchange and training sessions;
• You monitor national developments regarding student participation and education policy. Together with the LSVb, ISO, HBO-MZ and UNL, you liaise with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) on these matters;
• You maintain close contact with relevant (student) organisations;
• You are responsible for the day-to-day running of the foundation: you write policy, manage the foundation’s finances and administration, and liaise with the Supervisory Board.
